Headwaters of the Arctic

You can find the Arctic Divide Inn centrally located in Dease Lake, B.C. along the Stewart-Cassiar Highway (Highway 37).

The Inn is located directly on the Continental Divide. The waters to the south of the Inn flow into the Tanzilla River, then into the mighty Stikine River which empties into the Pacific Ocean.

The spring-fed headwaters flowing to the north go into the Dease River system and over the Yukon border into the Liard River. From here the waters flow into the Mackenzie River system which empties into the Beaufort Sea in the Arctic Ocean.
